Wood Brothers Racing - Daytona 500 on Sunday was an incredible mix of old and new. Rookie Trevor Bayne somehow stole the show with an incredible race and unexpected, and did so while driving for the Wood Brothers Racing.

Wood Brothers Racing is one of the oldest clubs and NASCAR legend, but the family team, had fallen into disuse in recent years. Tough times, indeed.

With the decline of patronage and lack of success in recent years, the brothers of wood reduced to a partial program in 2009. The team looked as if he were alive as of late, with little hope for the future.

But everything seems to have turned around a race.

The team was able to implement Bayne in his car, which has paid more than anyone ever imagined. Before that, the longtime producer and Ford stepped in direct support to Wood Brothers.

And the approval of legendary driver David Pearson, the team presented a car with a paint system No. 21 retro, bringing back memories of what the number one of the largest in NASCAR.

On a beautiful afternoon in Daytona, a new driver helped fill the gap with Wood Brothers in the past.
