Along with two Oscars, Randy Newman is a winner of six Grammy Awards, three times winner of the Emmy awards, and also has four Annie Awards. The artist was included in the Hall of Fame of Composers in 2002 and 2007, was introduced as a Disney Legend.
His acceptance speech at the Oscars this year, Newman has given a place in the spotlight: witty, fun, perhaps the funniest moment of the evening, with only rare appearance Kirk Douglas. Newman CBS's speech he described as the funniest speech of the night, and Newman and certainly more fun to host James Franco and Anne Hathaway. (Maybe I should host Newman in 2012.) We agree. Despite the youth of the two host and charm, something was missing last night, as many parts of the presentation, it seemed forced, unnatural - but that's an issue for another debate.
Newman was so used to being appointed and life with empty hands, that this award was a surprise - and although there was some competition in "If I get up" of "127 hours", "We Belong Together" was definitely the best in its category.
